1. Who we are

InfusEDU (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is the data controller for the personal data collected through Capgrown. Our registered address and contact details are available on request at matt.monjan@infusedu.com.

2. What data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, password hash, and graduation year or role when you register.
• Profile data: college preferences, financial-aid interests, scholarship lists, and any content you create in your Vision Board or Offer Comparator.
• Usage data: interactions with AI guides, feature usage, and platform telemetry to improve the service.
• Device/technical data: IP address, browser type, and device identifiers for security and fraud prevention.
• Support data: messages and attachments you send through our support channels.

3. How and why we use your data

• To provide the service (contract performance) — powering your Vision Board, AI guides, offer comparisons, and district dashboards.
• To secure the platform (legitimate interest) — fraud detection, abuse prevention, and maintaining platform integrity.
• To improve the product (legitimate interest) — aggregated analytics and feature development. We do not sell personal data.
• To communicate with you (legitimate interest or consent) — product updates, billing notices, and optional marketing emails.

4. Who we share data with

• Service providers: hosting, analytics, customer support tooling, and AI model providers who process data only on our instructions.
• Paddle: our Merchant of Record for payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance, and invoicing. Paddle processes payment-related data under its own privacy notice.
• Professional advisers: legal and accounting professionals, bound by confidentiality.
• Authorities: when required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymise personal data within 90 days, except where we must retain it for legal obligations, tax purposes, or to resolve disputes.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data; restrict or object to processing; and withdraw consent where applicable. To exercise these rights, contact us at matt.monjan@infusedu.com. We respond to requests within one month.

7. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain session state. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

9. Children's privacy

Capgrown is designed for students and their families. If you are under 13, you may only use the platform with parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without such consent.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the platform.
